Dennaé Harshaw, LMSW
SHE/HER
I’m a culturally competent, trauma-informed psychotherapist who believes in a collaborative therapeutic relationship. I recently completed my MSW from Columbia School of Social Work. I work with people who are impacted by stress, depression, anxiety, relationship issues, disordered eating, and internalized oppression. I help individuals, couples, and multi-partner relationships using a holistic approach to psychological and emotional wellness.
My clinical methods pull from many treatment modalities including CBT, DBT, IFS, mindfulness treatments, trauma-informed practices, somatic treatments, and psychodynamic psychotherapy to offer the best care possible for my clients. Lastly, I believe sexual health, understanding, and connection are vital.
As a former ballet dancer, model, and actress, I stress the importance of mind/body integration. Sex therapy can be one way to address this. If spirituality is important to you, I have experience incorporating one’s spiritual practices into the therapeutic process. I am committed to equity and equality for everyone.
At my core, I believe that there are as many ways to heal as there are people in the world. And everyone deserves access to that healing.
“Trauma is a fact of life. It does not, however, have to be a life sentence.”
Peter A. Levine
