Ali Ross, LMSW

SHE/HER

PROGRAM DIRECTOR

I provide therapy to adult individuals, couples, and polycules experiencing a wide range of interpersonal, sexual, and mental health challenges.

My goal is to help you overcome the taboo of talking about sex and sexuality and to free yourself from the sexual shame and stigma that is inherent in our society, in order for you to lead the most fulfilling life possible.

I hope to help you surmount any obstacles to engaging in the sex you want to have, whether that be due to anxiety or depression, body image or self-esteem issues, challenges with relationships or desire, questions of LGBTQIA+ or kinky identity, or sexual difficulties after trauma or STI diagnosis.

I prioritize being a truly non-judgmental listening ear and a validating support system, and communicating to you that you’re not alone. I aim to foster a sense of safety, respect, and openness in the therapeutic space. The intimacy we share in the therapeutic space can facilitate intimacy with yourself and others outside of it.

As a therapist, I aim to break down any barriers to care and, using a trauma-informed, anti-oppressive, and liberatory approach, provide a space for my clients to work collaboratively towards healing. I am sex work/worker positive, LGBTQIA+, kinky, and poly affirming, and I use an eclectic treatment approach tailored to your unique lived experiences.

I received my Masters of Social Work from Columbia School of Social Work and am a therapist licensed in the State of New York. I have received certifications in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Recovery-Oriented Cognitive Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Complicated Grief Therapy, as well as in The Center for Practice Innovations’ IMPACT OCD, preparED Eating Disorders Education, and LGBTQ+ curricula.

Through this work, you can build your most authentic and fulfilling life possible.

If you’re interested in working together, email me today, and we can find a time to meet and see if working together would be a good fit.
